lilou angelrath and réiltín ní aodhagáin started bog bodies press after working in publishing, where their love for the medium grew alongside their frustrations with it as an industry. they saw how publishing institutions separate readers from writers, and dictate the ‘proper’ form in which stories should be shared.
they wanted to build a publishing house grounded in their firm belief that people are born storytellers, and that there are myriad ways in which to express that - a publishing house that makes space for the brilliant stories left behind by literary institutions and empowers their community to share their own, both on and off the page.
